Edible Wild Foods Tour:  Join us for our fourth class in our series, EDIBLE WILD CoMo, where we explore the wild food growing around Boone County. Tours will be held on the first Friday or Saturday of each month at different locations. This tour is a unique opportunity to explore the local trails and discover the diverse array of edible plants that grow along it. This class is intended for beginner foragers and perfect for of all ages. 

What to Expect: 

Guided Exploration: Walk down (approximately 1 mile or less ) a scenic trail with certified foraging instructors who will introduce you to the edible and medicinal  plants growing in the wild. 

Edible Identification: Learn how to identify various wild plants that are safe to eat and discover their nutritional benefits.

 Practical Uses: Find out how to prepare and incorporate these wild edibles into your meals, as well as other practical uses for the plants. 

We’ll meet at the Kelley Branch trailhead inside of Finger Lakes State Park. Strollers are welcome. • Cost: $20 per person (11 and under free) • Group Size: Limited to 20 participants to ensure a personalized experience (only register kids 12 and up, younger kids are welcome to tag along). We will provide note sheets, pens, and clipboards. Register now to secure your spot!
